Dr. Annie Rusk, a physician specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine, discusses
who should have low-dose CT lung cancer screening and
how often. She explains that a low-dose CT of the chest is reserved for people who have a
high risk of lung cancer, in particular, those with a history of cigarette smoking. She explains that people who get screened with a low-dose CT should do so annually to improve survival through early detection.
