Dr. Ying-Chun Lo, a pathologist at Mayo Clinic, explains what next-generation sequencing (NGS) and comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) are and how these are used in lung cancer. He describes NGS as an advanced technology that allows the rapid study of entire genomes. Dr. Lo further discusses how CGP is a type of molecular test that uses NGS technology to find alterations in your genome, allowing doctors to better customize treatments for your lung cancer.
