Carol, a lung cancer survivor, shares her
advice for others who are preparing for lung cancer surgery. She recommends
quitting smoking if you are a smoker,
maintaining a good diet, and
developing a good support system. She says it is very helpful to
have company during appointments and to
take a list of questions to talk about with your care team. Finally, she suggests being as
physically active as possible, while carrying a
mindful and positive attitude, to best prepare yourself for the healing and recovery phase after your lung cancer surgery.
